A representative body that works for you
Penn State Berks Staff Advisory Council (BerksSAC) advocates for all full- and part-time staff to promote a sense of belonging, shared identity, and wellbeing across the college, promoting professional fulfillment in the campus community. The council advises and assists the chancellor in fulfilling the mission and strategic directions of Penn State Berks by being a member of Administrative Council. BerksSAC provides a forum to exchange ideas to enhance the work environment for all campus staff while recommending new initiatives and revisions to current practices to promote a climate of continuous improvement and student success.
The main objectives of BerksSAC are to:
- support communication
- act as a representative body
- advocate for staff
- assist with onboarding and networking
- offer mentorship

Providing comments, suggestions, and feedback
The Berks Staff Advisory Council accepts and is open to any and all suggestions, questions, and/or topics of concern from the Staff at Penn State Berks. Submissions may be anonymous, but please provide your name and email if you would like the BerksSAC to have the opportunity to follow up with you.

Request time to present or discuss a topic with the council
Berks Staff Advisory Council meets once a month in a closed committee setting. Anyone can request time in front of BerksSAC to discuss a topic of interest. Meeting minutes will be shared with the staff following each meeting. If you would like to request time on our agenda, please submit this request 10 days prior to the meeting. An executive officer will reach out to confirm your time and location.
